Getting Started
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM card that allows you to activate a mobile data plan without inserting a physical SIM card into your phone. Instead of receiving a plastic SIM, your eSIM is installed digitally by scanning a QR code or manually entering activation details.
Arivia Sim eSIMs allow travelers to access mobile internet instantly in destinations around the world while avoiding expensive roaming fees.
How does Arivia Sim work?
Using Arivia Sim is simple:
- Choose your destination and purchase a data plan
- Receive your eSIM instantly by email
- Install the eSIM by scanning the QR code
- Activate the eSIM on arrival or when needed
- Start using mobile data abroad
No physical SIM card is required.
Which devices support eSIM?
Most modern smartphones support eSIM technology, including:
- iPhone XS and newer
- Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer
- Google Pixel devices
- Many newer Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Motorola devices
Please ensure your device supports eSIM and is carrier unlocked.
Installation & Activation
How do I install my Arivia Sim eSIM?
After purchase, you will receive a QR code, installation instructions, and manual installation details if needed.
To install:
- Open your phone settings
- Go to Mobile Data / Cellular / SIM Manager
- Add eSIM
- Scan the QR code
- Follow the on-screen instructions
We strongly recommend installing your eSIM before traveling while connected to stable WiFi.
When should I activate my eSIM?
Most eSIMs activate once connected to a supported network in the destination country.
We recommend installing the eSIM before departure and activating mobile data only when arriving at your destination.

- Open Settings
- Go to Network & Internet
- Tap SIMs
- Select your Arivia Sim eSIM
- Enable the eSIM
- Turn Mobile Data ON
- Disable your primary line's roaming if desired
- Ensure Data Roaming is enabled for the Arivia Sim eSIM

Sometimes Samsung devices temporarily lock eSIM management during activation. Try the following:
- Restart the device
- Disable mobile data
- Remove airplane mode
- Update your software to the latest version
- Retry deletion through SIM Manager
If the issue persists, contact Samsung support or Arivia Sim support.
What should I do if the eSIM is stuck activating on iOS?
If your eSIM remains stuck on "Activating":
- Ensure you have internet access during setup
- Restart your device
- Enable and disable airplane mode
- Confirm Data Roaming is enabled
- Update iOS to the latest version
- Wait a few minutes as activation may take time depending on the network
If activation still fails, contact support with screenshots.
I'm experiencing the "Cellular Plans From This Carrier Cannot Be Added" error
This usually means the device is carrier locked, the device does not support eSIM, or the device has reached its eSIM limit.
Please verify your device is unlocked, supports eSIM technology, and that previous unused eSIMs are removed if necessary.
I'm experiencing the "Unable to Complete Cellular Plan Change" error
This error can occur due to a weak internet connection, temporary Apple server issues, or device software problems.
Try switching WiFi networks, restarting the device, updating iOS, or reinstalling the eSIM if necessary.
How do I access the internet using an Arivia Sim eSIM on a Samsung Galaxy device?
- Open Settings
- Go to Connections
- Tap SIM Manager
- Select your Arivia Sim eSIM
- Enable Mobile Data
- Enable Data Roaming
- Select the eSIM as the preferred data line
Restart your device after setup if needed.
I am experiencing "PDP Authentication Failure"
This error usually indicates incorrect APN settings or temporary network issues. Try restarting the phone, enabling airplane mode for 30 seconds, verifying APN settings provided with your eSIM, or selecting the network manually.
If the issue continues, contact support.
Can I use iMessage with my eSIM?
Yes. iMessage can work with your Arivia Sim eSIM. Depending on your setup, iMessage may continue using your original phone number while mobile data comes from the Arivia Sim eSIM.
You can configure this in: Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.
How do I access the internet using an Arivia Sim eSIM on an iPhone?

I can't scan my QR code
If the QR code does not scan, increase screen brightness, clean the camera lens, ensure stable internet, or use manual installation details if available.
You cannot scan a QR code from the same device displaying it.
What can I do if my device is network or carrier locked?
Carrier-locked devices cannot use third-party eSIMs. You must contact your mobile provider to verify lock status and request unlocking if eligible.
Arivia Sim cannot unlock devices.
I'm experiencing the "This code is no longer valid" error
This usually happens when the QR code was already installed, scanned multiple times, or the installation was interrupted.
Please contact support before attempting further installations.
Why can't I find my eSIM when the app says it's installed?
Sometimes the eSIM installs but remains disabled. Check Settings > Cellular / SIM Manager, whether the eSIM line is turned ON, and whether Mobile Data is assigned correctly.
Restart the device if needed.
Why haven't I received my eSIM or top-up yet?
Please check spam/junk folders, verify the correct email was used, and wait a few minutes during high-demand periods.
If still missing, contact support with your order number.
Why is my eSIM connecting to the wrong network?
Some devices automatically select weaker partner networks. You can disable automatic network selection, select a supported network manually, and restart the device after changing networks.
Why is my eSIM not working?
Common causes include data roaming disabled, incorrect APN settings, device incompatibility, weak local network coverage, or incomplete installation.
Most issues are resolved by restarting the device, re-enabling the eSIM, checking APN settings, or selecting networks manually.
Why am I seeing the "Unable to Activate eSIM" error on iOS?
This may occur due to Apple activation server delays, poor internet connection, carrier restrictions, or incorrect setup.
Try restarting the device, connecting to stable WiFi, updating iOS, or retrying activation later.
Why is my eSIM internet slow and how can I fix it?
Internet speeds depend on local network quality, signal strength, network congestion, and device compatibility.
To improve speeds, switch network manually, restart your device, move to an area with better coverage, or disable battery-saving modes.
5G access may vary depending on the country and network.
Billing & Orders
When does my eSIM validity start?
Most plans begin when the eSIM first connects to a supported network at your destination.
Please check your specific product description for exact activation rules.
Can I top up my eSIM?
Some plans support top-ups while others do not.
If top-ups are available, they can be purchased through your account or via the provided top-up link.
Can I reuse my eSIM?
Certain eSIMs are reusable depending on the destination and provider.
Please check your product details or contact support.
What happens if I run out of data?
Once your data allowance is fully consumed, your internet may stop working or speeds may be reduced depending on the plan.
You may purchase an additional plan or top-up if supported.
Compatibility
How can I check if my phone supports eSIM?
You can usually check by searching your device model online, looking under SIM settings, or dialing *#06# on some devices.
If an EID number appears, your device likely supports eSIM.
Can I use dual SIM with my eSIM?
Yes. Most compatible devices allow your primary SIM for calls/SMS and your Arivia Sim eSIM for data.
This is one of the main benefits of eSIM technology.
Refunds & Policies
Can I get a refund?
Refund eligibility depends on whether the eSIM was activated, whether data was used, and the nature of the issue.
Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details.
What if I purchased the wrong destination?
Please contact support immediately. If the eSIM has not been activated or installed, we may be able to assist.
