eSIM Setup Guide

How do I install and set up an eSIM on my iPhone?

Before installing your Arivia Sim eSIM, please make sure of the following:

  1. Your iPhone supports eSIM functionality
  2. Your device is carrier/network unlocked
  3. You have a stable internet connection (preferably Wi-Fi)
  4. You have received your Arivia Sim QR code by email

A stable internet connection is required to properly download and activate your eSIM profile on your device.

How to install an Arivia Sim eSIM on iPhone

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Mobile Service or Cellular
  3. Tap Add eSIM
  4. Select Use QR Code
  5. Scan the QR code sent to you by email from Arivia Sim
  6. If requested, enter the confirmation code provided in your email
  7. Tap Continue
  8. Allow the eSIM to activate
  9. Wait a few minutes while the installation completes
  10. Tap Done once the process is finished

Please do not close the setup process while the eSIM is activating.

How to connect to the network after installation

Once you arrive at your destination, you may need to configure a few settings to connect properly.

Step 1: Enable your eSIM line

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Mobile Service or Cellular
  3. Select your Arivia Sim eSIM
  4. Turn Turn On This Line ON if disabled

Step 2: Select your eSIM for mobile data

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular
  2. Tap Cellular Data
  3. Select your Arivia Sim eSIM as the active data line

Step 3: Enable Data Roaming

  1. Open Settings > Cellular
  2. Select your Arivia Sim eSIM
  3. Turn Data Roaming ON

This is required for most travel eSIMs to function correctly.

Step 4: Disable Cellular Data Switching

To avoid your iPhone using another SIM for data:

  1. Open Settings > Cellular
  2. Tap Cellular Data
  3. Turn Allow Cellular Data Switching OFF

Step 5: Label your eSIM

To make it easier to identify your eSIM:

  1. Open Settings > Cellular
  2. Select your Arivia Sim eSIM
  3. Tap Cellular Plan Label
  4. Choose a label such as: Arivia Sim, Travel eSIM, Turkey eSIM or Morocco eSIM

If your eSIM does not connect automatically

In some cases, you may need to manually select a network.

  1. Open Settings > Cellular
  2. Select your Arivia Sim eSIM
  3. Tap Network Selection
  4. Turn Automatic OFF
  5. Select a supported local network manually

Please use the recommended network mentioned in your installation email if applicable.

Understanding your eSIM status

Installed

Your eSIM profile has successfully downloaded to your iPhone. You can verify this under: Settings > Cellular.

Active / In Use

Your eSIM is connected to a supported network and mobile data is working.

Important Notes

  1. Install your eSIM before traveling whenever possible
  2. Do not delete the eSIM after installation unless instructed to do so
  3. Most eSIMs can only be installed once
  4. Activation times may vary depending on the destination network
  5. Your eSIM validity usually begins once the eSIM first connects to a supported network
